Info Der wilde Mustang aus dem fernen Würzburg, gelegen irgendwo zwischen Iowa, Kentucky und Wisconsin, kehrt nach einem langen Tag auf der Tabakplantage denselben kauend in das Basement des Hauses seiner Großeltern zurück und praktiziert dort vollbartkratzend und inmitten eines Chaos selbst gebauter Saiteninstrumente, die meisten davon halb-fertig, grandioseste Songs, zusammen mit seinen nicht minder exzellenten Buddies, den City Boys, aus der ortsnahen Holzfällerei.
Und wenn sich dann Freitag Nacht drei bis vier lokale Jungs und Mädels Bourbon-trunken von der Ladefläche ihres Pick-Ups stürzend zum Konzert in die baufällige Bowling-Bar neben dem stillgelegten Autokino verirren, dann sehen diese mit den City Boys mal eben eine der geilsten Bands des Jahres. Und ihr nicht. Aber immerhin könnt ihr euch ja diese geile Platte holen.
After a long day the wild mustang from faraway Würzburg, located somewhere between Iowa, Kentucky and Wisconsin, returns from the tobacco plant to the basement of his grandparents‘ home. There he practices within a chaos of self built string instruments – most of them half-finished – most grandiose songs in company with his not less excellent buddies, the city boys, from local logging.
And when on a friday night three to four local boys and girls – all bourbon-drunk – stray into the show taking place in the run-down bowling bar next to the abandoned drive-in cinema, they just see with the City Boys one of the most awesome bands of the year. And you don’t. But at least you can buy this great record.
